Harmonising the Chakras through Yin, Mantra & Sound
with Aislng Rasekh
Saturday 7th September
2pm - 4pm
A two-hour journey through the chakra system dedicated to aligning, balancing and restoring the seven-chakra system (energy centres of the body).
Following the very yang summer period, we move towards the fall and become called to slow down and meet with our yin energy. Yin is a quiet and nourishing practice of yoga that focuses on deepening as opposed to moving, slowing you down and allowing you to gently restore your energy.
We will explore passive floor poses on the mat, held typically for 3-5 minutes, supported by yoga props such as bolsters, bricks, blocks and straps. This allows the connective tissue and facia of the body to be gently stretched, increasing flexibility and promoting better joint health.
Yin yoga also works with our meridian lines and energy centres. Combining the ancient art of Chinese medicine and brining in yogic bījamantra associated with the chakra system we will bring balance to the mind, body and spirit.
This supportive practice will be done in a warm room to allow your body, muscles and mind to completely relax.
Ending with Yoga Nidra, you will melt into a deep dreamlike state with a guided meditation and gentle sound healing.
